About Tahini Halvah
Tahini halva is a famous Turkish dessert whose main ingredients are tahini, sugar, cayenne juice and vanilla. According to the types, cocoa, pistachios, gum, honey and walnuts are added into it. It was discovered 700 years ago in Denizli by Hasan Basri Efendi. In recent years, corn syrups with high glucose content and low fructose content, various additives (concentrated soy proteins and vegetable fibers) that bind fat and protein are used in the tahini halva industry instead of sugar.
